Road Crashes Along Lagos – Ibadan Expressway

No fewer than eight persons have lost their lives in various road crashes along Lagos Ibadan Expressway on Wednesday February 2, 2022 while three persons were injured.
In one of the crashes, a DAF Truck with no registration number carrying Soya beans had head-on collision with another IVECO Tank due to the alleged break failure.

The collision prompted the IVECO tanker to upturn and subsequently spilled its content on the road. Two persons were confirmed dead with one person injured.

According to a statement by the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, another bus fell off from the Olomore bridge into a ditch with two occupants, a couple.
The wife died instantly while the husband had a broken leg.

In all the crashes, eight persons lost their lives while three injured, were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
TRACE while commiserating with the bereaved families, advised motorists to be cautious while driving and obey traffic rules and regulations.
