Railway System to increase investment in Ogun – Bashorun Adeife

The Commissioner for Regional Integration, Bashorun Adebola Adeife said Ogun State was the main proponent in the Western Nigeria Railway Master plan, which was already bearing fruits as evident with developments in the railway transport system in the region.

  Adeife who stated this at the treasury board meeting on 2019 budget held in Abeokuta expressed optimism that the railway system would make the Southwest an economic hub of the country.

   ‘’This development will attract more investment in the Southwest, especially Ogun State, which has already been positioned as an industrial hub, rather than a Civil Service State’’, he said.

       He explained that the State has been a model for reforms in the Civil Service region that has berthed the Public Service Transformation Office (PSTO), to reform the workforce and make it more efficient in service delivery.

   Adeife noted that the State had achieved a feat with the introduction of the Nigeria Incentive Rest Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL) for the South West region, to boost Agricultural financing in the region.
