Ogun to Rehabilitate Oba Erinwole Road
In order to ensure seamless motoring in and around Sagamu and its environs, the Ogun State Government has affirmed its readiness to rehabilitate the Oba Awolesi Erinwole link road, connecting Sagamu town to Ore- Benin Expressway, as well as the Sagamu-Ikorodu road.
The State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, made the promise at the investiture of Otunba Seni Adetu, as the 17th President of the Sagamites Club, in Sagamu.
Governor Amosun, represented by his Chief of Staff, Chief Tolu Odebiyi, acknowledged the strategic importance of the town, as one of the economic base of the State, pledging that the town would continue to benefit from the infrastructural revolution going on in the State.
Appreciating the Club for its unflinching support to the present administration, the Governor lauded its empowerment and socio-economic programmes, which he said were of immense benefit to the people, urging members to keep the flag of the club flying.
In his goodwill message, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, described the Sagamites Club as a foremost club, with many prominent sons and daughters, who have made indelible marks in their various endeavours, imploring them to continue the good work and prayed for a prosperous tenure for the new executive members.
Earlier, the immediate past president of the club, Prof. Okanlawon Odusoga, appreciated members for rallying round him to ensure a successful tenure, saying, the growth being witnessed was as a result of their commitments to the vision and mission of the club.
In his acceptance speech, the new President, Otunba Seni Adetu, said the club has contributed in no small measure to the socio-economic development of the community, pledging its continuous support to the government, to further enhance development of the community and the State at large.
Adetu assured that his tenure would focus on four pillars, which included; good governance, provision of structures, community empowerment, membership drive and quality public enlightenment, calling on members to support the new executive to take the club to a more desirable height.
