OGSG Affirms Commitment to transform Civil Service
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has affirmed his administration’s resolve to reposition the State Public Service to be the best among comity of State’s workforce in the federation.
Governor Abiodun, who made this known while addressing journalists in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, expressed optimism in the ability of the State workforce, describing them as an enviable driving force of government that must be optimally equipped and engaged, to bring good tidings to the entire citizenry of the State.
Reiterating his commitment to reposition the State workforce, the Governor affirmed that, Civil Service performance remains the prime result of the State, which represents the perceived opinion of the general public about the State.
“Our workers are the prime result of the State. Our economy is as good as its managers. We shall be open, just and fair, equitable to all our workers and pensioners within limits of our available resources. The Civil Service must be professionals and empowered to carry out the manning and running of our government machineries effectively and efficiently.
‘’We shall embark fully on training and skill acquisition programmes especially on ICT and listed managerial course that would prepare our Civil Service for the great task ahead’’, he said.
