Information Commissioner Attributes Success To Members Of Staff

The immediate past Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Ogun State, Otunba Adedayo Adeneye has attributed success recorded in the last three and half years to the cooperation  of members of staff in the Ministry.

Adeneye who stated this during his farewell speech at the weekly Information Officers’ meeting, held at the Governor’s Office Press Centre, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, added that the feats achieved so far would not have been possible without team work, as he could not have done it all alone.

According to him, ‘’everything that has a beginning must have an end and I sincerely want to thank everyone of you because the past three and half years has been exciting and challenging but I am leaving this Ministry fulfilled and I believe we have really achieved a lot’’.

The former Commissioner disclosed that he has been able to build on what his predecessors left, adding that part of the achievements recorded were, putting Ogun State Television (OGTV) on Digital Satellite Television (DSTV), construction of modern building at OGTV, the Ministry exceeding its yearly budgeted revenue generation and the introduction of feedback unit.

Adeneye said as representatives of government in information dissemination, Officers should be more committed, diligent and dedicated to their jobs, to be able to fully achieve government’s goals and aspirations within the next few months.

“I ask politely that you continue to represent this Ministry well wherever you go and continue to make us proud. I will definitely miss you all. I also look forward to the next step of our relationship, I wish you all the best in your endeavours and I pray for more successes in 2019”, he said.

Responding on behalf of the Officers, Mrs. Ajibola Taiwo, appreciated the Commissioner for his fatherly advice and directive towards achieving the best on the job, wishing him the best in his future endeavours.
