F.G Commends Ogun On Social Investment Implementation Scheme

The Senior Special Adviser to the President on Social Investment, Barrister Ishmael Ahmed has commended the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun for embarking on monumental projects that have turned around the economy of the State.

Barrister Ahmed who led a Federal Government delegation to monitor the implementation of the Social Investment Scheme of the Home Grown School Feeding Programme and N- Power Scheme commended the state government for its commitment to the programme which was designed to cater for the less privilege.

He noted that the team came to assess the state success story in terms of implementation of the programme, adding that the Conditional Cash Transfer will also pick up in earnest.

The Commissioner for Special Duties, Barrister Leke Adewolu in a remark said the state has engaged over 3000 women as food vendors which has opened up over 10,000 indirect jobs, explaining that some farmers have been empowered through the purchase of their farm produce.

On the N- power programme, the Special Duties Commissioner said about 5,500 unemployed graduates are currently engaged while additional 10,500 beneficiaries were being processed for next engagement.

The social Investment Scheme is Federal Government programme aimed at bringing succour to the down trodden and it is being implemented across the state in the federation.
