Mrs Amosun, Tinubu, Others Eulogizes Pa Adebanjo @ 90

Wife of the Ogun Sate Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunso Amosun has described Pa Ayodele Adebqnjo, as a man of good character, whose love for his people and the nation is second to none.

Mrs. Amosun who said this in Lagos during the launch of the Autobiography of Ayo Adebanjo, titled “Telling It As It Is”, to commemorate his 90th birthday, noted that the virtue of the elder statesman was worthy of emulation by the younger generation.

“We have come to felicitate with our father, Papa Adebanjo on his 90th birthday celebration. We wish him more fruitful years in good health, sound mind and prosperity. It is my prayer that as he advances in age, so shall he increase in strength and wisdom.”

Reviewing the book, Prof. Wole Adebanwi, explained that the 18 chapters book was a highly interesting historic book which contained Papa Adebanjo’s political and personal life, adding that it was easy to read and understand.

According to Adebanwi, the book was a reminder of what we were as “Awoist”, where we are now and where we are heading, commending him for his doggedness and commitment to politics and empathy for his people.

Responding, the celebrant, Pa Adebanjo, thanked the guests and other well wishers for their love and commitment at the successful launch of the book, dedicating the book to the upliftment and progress of his church and people of God.

Chief Ayodele Sanuel Adebanjo is an indigene of Ogun State, a chieftain of the Pan- Yoruba Socio-Cultural Organisation and elder statesman, an Awoist loyalist and a renowned lawyer and politician who fought for the true federalism, and a better Nigeria.
