Two die, Three Injured Along Lagos – Abeokuta Expressway Multiple Accidents
No fewer than two persons, a Tricycle driver and a commercial motorcycle operator have been confirmed dead in a road multiple accidents along Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway, Thursday evening, December 23,2021.
Eye witness account reveals that a truck with registration Number AA 522 XY carrying sand lost its break while decending the Sango bridge inbound Abeokuta and crossed the culvert to the other side of the road and rammed into several other vehicles inbound Sango enroute Lagos in an head on collision
A Tricycle and a commercial motorcycle operator lost their lives in the crash and their bodies have been deposited at a morgue in Ifo General Hospital while other injured victims with minor bruises were said to have been treated at a private hospital
According to the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, all the accidented vehicles have been evaluated and moved to Sango Divisional Police Station for further investigation
The Corps commiserates with the bereaved families and cautions motorists against improper and inadequate maintenance of their vehicles particularly during this festive season when there is evident of high volume of human and vehicular traffic so as to prevent avoidable road fatalities and loss of property
