TRAFFIC ALERT: Obstruction of Traffic Along the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, 18th June, 2019

TRAFFIC ALERT FROM FRSC OGUN STATE COMMAND ON THE OBSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC ALONG THE LAGOS – IBADAN EXPRESSWAY ON TUESDAY 18 JUNE 2019

 The Federal Road Safety Corps Ogun State Command wishes to inform the motoring public on the ongoing construction activities by  Julius Berger Nigeria Plc which has affected an NNPC Gas pipeline around Ibafo, inward Lagos, which have  caused gas  leakage and is obstructing traffic on both carriageways of the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway around Ibafo, close to Mowe.


The affected corridor have temporarily stopped the Lagos bound traffic. This is to avoid injuries to motorists. 
The  NNPC has been contacted to attend to the leakage to minimise the dangerous impacts.


The FRSC Sector Commander, Clement Oladele has advised motorists not to panic as the situation is being managed in concert with sister traffic and emergency agencies .
Motorists are advised to avoid the location till the situation is totally brought under control .


Motorists are also advised to use alternative corridors of , Ikorodu – Sagamu ; Lagos – Ota – Abeokuta and  Lekki  – Ajah – Epe Corridors.
