TRACE begins Clampdown on Illegal and Indiscriminate use of official Number Plates and Sirens


Consequent on the House Resolution No.008/2019 of the Ogun State House of Assembly Plenary Session, held on Thursday, 27th June, 2019, where the illegal and indiscriminate use of Official Number Plates and Siren was observed, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, TRACE, would from Thursday, 1st August, 2019, commence the arrest and prosecution of members of the public and organizations without authorization, as well as, not in the extant Federal Government Regulations to use Official Number Plates.

However, members of the public and organizations authorized to use same would on request by Security Agencies produce a letter of authorization with a period not exceeding four (4) years.

Nevertheless, members of the public and organizations still in possession of same are advised to submit it to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government on or before Wednesday, 31st July, 2019.

This action has become pertinent to safe and protect the integrity of Government.
