Public Officers connected with Projects must act ethically with Integrity-Titi Omo -Ettu

   

For engineering projects to be delivered on the envisaged standard, all public officials who are either directly or remotely connected with the project must act ethically and with integrity.

Engineering Consultant and Professional Trainer, Engi Titi Omo-Ettu FNSE, FAEng stated this during his lecture at the maiden edition of Engr. ‘Sina Egberongbe Memorial Lecture held yesterday April 26th, 2018 at the Valley View Auditorium, Ogun State Government House, Isale Igbein, Abeokuta. The lecture was titled ” Beyond Technology: Integrity, Ethical and Probity issues in public infrastructure development.

Fellows of  Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ogun State top Government Officials, Traditional ruler, Captains of Industry, who and who in the field of Engineering, Civil Servants, Professionals, Members from Abeokuta Branch, Oluyole Branch, Ikeja and Lagos Branch of NSE, Representatives of Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (National and Chapters), friends and family of Late Engr. Adesina Salih Egberongbe mni, FNSE,  all converged in the Auditorium of Valley View, Government House, Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital for the Maiden Engr. ‘Sina Egberongbe Memorial Lecture and 60th Anniversary of the Society .

The Chairman of the Occasion, NSE President, Engr. Adekunle Mokuolu FNSE ably represented by President American Society of Civil Engineers, Nigeria International Section and Past National Chairman of Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers Engr. Saliu Alao Lawal FNSE, FNICE added his voice to that of the NSE Abeokuta Branch Chairman Engr. Muhammed Isola Abbass FNSE by urging Engineers to learn how to manage technology for it to serve the purpose of it’s invention.

In his keynote address, Ogun State Head of Service, Mr Abayomi Sobande appreciates the timely choice of the topic for the discourse saying it is apt as successive governments in Nigeria have always identified infrastructural deficit as one of the major challenges to the development and collective existence of the nation.

Eminent Personalities including Ogun State Governor Sen. Ibikunle Amosun CON, FCA ably represented by Permanent Secretary Ministry of Works and Infrastructure Engr. Kayode Ademolake FNSE, Speaker Ogun State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Engr. Suraju Adekunbi represented by Permanent Secretary and Clerk of the House Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu FNSE, Royal Father of the Day, Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland Oba Dr. Adedotun Gbadebo CFR, Father of the Day, Hon. Justice Ademola Bakre, OON  and District Governor Lions Club 404B1 Engr. Lateef Oyewunmi FNSE, among others gave their goodwill messages.

 

They described Late Engr. Chief Salih Adesina Egberongbe mni,FNSE as a man of many part which reflected in various organisations and professional bodies he belonged to, where he played significant leadership roles, Distinguished Mechanical Engineer and Fellow of the Nigerian society of Engineers worthy of emulation.

Elders’ Forum of  NSE Abeokuta Branch was also inaugurated at the epoch notable event. Other Dignitaries at the Event includes High Chief Engr. Tunde Sedomi FNSE, Engr. Titi Ajanaku FNSE, Permanent Secretaries (Engineers) in the Ogun State Government, Chairman NSE Ikeja Engr. Charles Akintola FNSE, Engr. Funmi Akingbagbohun, Members of Abeokuta Club and Abeokuta Sports Club among others.
