Press Release: 2020 Sobo Sowemimo Annual Lecture (Virtual)
The 2020 Annual Sobo Sowemimo Lecture has been scheduled for Friday 26th June, 2020 at the Millenium Hall of the Abeokuta Club at 4pm.
According to a statement by the Abeokuta Club General Secretary, Chief Sesan Okutoro, this year’s edition which has a topic, “COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND NIGERIA SECURITY ISSUES: The way forward”, will involve the use of virtual attendance through zoom and any other appropriate technology to observe the COVID-19 protocols.
Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo is expected to be the guests speaker while Chief Emeka Anyaoku will Chair the occassion.

The Annual lecture is in honour of Chief Sobo Sowemimo (SAN), the Jaguna of Egbaland who was one of the founding members of Abeokuta Club founded in 1937.He was as well the founding President of the foremost Social Club.
