Moses Kadeer buried, widow says he was her shield
These are the emotion-laden words of Mrs. Eno Victoria Kadeer during the burial of her husband on Saturday at Ogbona, Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State.
Moses Kadeer, a former President of Junior Chamber International, JCI, Nigeria until his death on Saturday, September 22, 2018, ran a successful printing business in Kaduna State.
He died after a brief illness.
In her tribute, Mrs. Kadeer described her husband as a caring and loving man.
Tributes flowed freely with representatives of different organisations and interests at the burial baring their minds on Kadeer.
Pastor Adegoke Gbenga of Living Faith declared that Kadeer did not die but only changed position to be with the Lord.
He quoted from the book of Ecclesiastes 7: 1 and asked the congregation to always prepare for death as that would make them fear God and prepare to meet him.
“To die without knowing Christ is to die in vain,” he said.
The immediate past president of JCI, Nigeria, JCI Senator Ojo Babajide Richard said the deceased had made his mark as a leader and motivator to the youths of his generation.
According to him, the legacies left behind by Kadeer, who was the 2014 JCI Nigeria President would be of immense benefit to the future generation.
The first of the deceased three children, St. Daniel Kadeer, in his tribute thanked his father for the huge investment he made on him and his siblings.
He said their father’s fruitful life had given them a boost to continue where he stopped.
Dignitaries at the burial ceremony included the JCI family led by JCI Senator Timeyin Uwejamomere, the 1997 president of JCI Nigeria.
Also present were the executive members of Ogbonna Elite Forum led by their Board of Trustees chairman, Mrs. Julie Inu Umoru.
Pastors and members of the Living Faith Church, Kaduna, where the late Moses Kadeer was a Deacon were also there to pay their last respect.
Also represented at the occasion was the Association of Mass Communication Students, AMACOS, 1991 Set of the Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Pastor Suraj Adejumo who represented his classmates under the aegis of AMACOS described the occasion as emotional.
In its tribute titled “Who will ever forget Old Moe – A Tribute to Moses Kadeer” in the burial programme, AMACOS described him as a kind-hearted man who impacted positively on anyone that came across him.
The group said: “To everyone in the Mass Communication Class of 1991, Old Moe was not an unknown quantity. His name is synonymous with everything that is good and throughout our relationships, ever since he joined the class, he was very active. He impacted positively on the lives of everyone directly or indirectly…
“Old Moe, sleep well. Good night, Old Moe. We shall forever remember you. Oh, who will ever forget you, Old Moe. No one. Not anyone of us.”
