Otunba Daniel felicitates with Awujale at 86

Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba (Engr.) Gbenga Daniel has felicitated with His Royal Majesty, Alayeluwa Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR, Ogbagba II, the Awujale & Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland on the occasion of his 86th Birthday Anniversary.

Otunba Daniel also used the medium to congratulate the people’s monarch on his 60 years of reign as the custodian of culture and tradition of Ijebuland.

In his message, Daniel, who is also the Otunba Obalofin of Ijebuland, described Oba Adetona the Awujale as an inimitable monarch of principles who has always remained constant and unshaken in his beliefs and progressive ideals.

According to him, “the Awujale is a man of history starting life as the youngest monarch in his time and weathering all storms to become one of the longest reigning monarchs in the world”.

“Oba Adetona is, undoubtedly, the icon of Ijebu race and highly revered for his dignity, integrity, charisma carriage and altruistic love for the people which have contributed immensely to the unity, peace and progress witnessed in Ijebuland in his six decades of sovereignty”.

Otunba Daniel, on behalf of his wife Yeye Olufunke Daniel; the Yeye Obalofin of Ijebuland, family and organisations, then felicitates with the Awujale praying to Almighty God to continue to grant him sound health, eternal grace and divine wisdom for more years to come.
