Orile Itesi Gets First Oba

Engr. Adeniyi Oluyinka Emulu has been installed as the first Olu of Orile Itesiland in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State, with a charge on him to use his wealth of experience to promote rapid development in his domain.

The State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun who gave the charged while presenting the staff of office and instruments of appointment to the monarch at the Emulu town, Orile Itesi, Odeda, noted that the coronet monarch was upgraded as part of measures to enhance socio-economic development of the community.

‘’Kabiyesi, by your appointment as an Oba of Part III status, you have become a beaded king, by this appointment, you are expected to champion all efforts that can enhance peaceful co-existence with neighbouring towns, other Royal Fathers and the people of Orile-Itesi, towards moving the community forward’’.

Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, called on residence of Itesi to join hands with the new oba in his effort at engendering development, pledging the State Government readiness to always support them.

Also speaking, Chairman of the Council, Hon. Semiu Lawal, lauded the State Executive Council for approving the upgrading of the monarch, admonishing him to be a rallying point for his people, towards making the community a model in socio-economic development.

In his acceptance speech, Oba Emulu pledged to serve with high sense of responsibility and explore all available means to enhance the socio-economic growth of his area and the State in general.
