OGSG to utilize Abadoned Model Schools as Tech Hubs

Ogun state government has reassured of it’s commitment in providing standard infrastructure to enable people derive full benefit of the planned huge investment across the state.

Governor Dapo Abiodun gave the assurance while on inspection tour to Obafemi Owode and Yewa South Local government areas where he added that abandoned model schools would be utilized as technology hubs and vocational skills centres.

Towards creating an enabling environment for its citizenry,  the state Governor as a matter of priority visited areas ravaged by flood due to heavy downpour experienced in Opako and the Itori Abeokuta/Lagos old road.Governor Dapo Abiodun while observing the affected areas says the State Emergency Management Agency would send reliefs and compensate the victims.

Speaking on modalities that will be adopted, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Works, Engr. Kayode Ademolake reassures that Alternate route will be provided for the residents of Opako in order to concentrate on construction of affected areas.

In the same vein, Contractors met at the model school in Yewa South local government informed the Governor that the structure has been certified not safe for use.

Responding, Prince Abiodun affirms that the government would utilize abandoned model schools which will serve as technology hubs and vocational skill s centres. The Governor further reiterated that infrastructure is fundamental to the creation of an enduring economic development
