Collaboration with MDAs is our Strength – Amosun

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has said that governance should be a participatory process, with the involvement of all relevant stakeholders, in order to deliver a consistence and robust decisions towards a sustainable development.

     The Governor who stated this during the treasury board meeting on the year 2019  Budget, held at the Conference Hall ,Oba’s,Complex Oke Mosan Abeokuta,noted that the idea of collaboration with different Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) has been strengthening the State’s Budget effectively and efficiently.

    Governor Amosun emphasized that the 2019 budget being the final one of his administration would serve as passing of baton to the incoming administration, stressing that a successful baton exchange is critical for the maintenance of momentum and continuity of purpose.

   “The Treasury Board meeting is significant, not only to strengthening the best budget process of governance but important for successful preparation 2019 Budget and the final budget of this administration”, Amosun said.

      He urged all MDAs to be more thorough in their presentation of advanced proposed estimate for the 2019 budget, adding that their commitments was a basic element to impact positively on its citizenry, who have all right to expect the best from the government.

      Earlier, the State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Ms. Adenrele Adesina, said the Treasury Board meeting was the final Budget of the Senator Amosun led government and would be the foundation for the next phase of the next administration.
