NAHCARD Award Of Academic And Leadership Excellence Thrills Dr. Odedina
Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Samson Adeola Odedina has cherished the Award of Academic and Leadership Excellence recently presented by the National Association of Heads of Colleges of Agriculture and Related Disciplines (NAHCARD).
Dr. Odedina, the immediate past Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Ojere, Abeokuta was recognised by NAHCARD with the award for his contributions towards the upliftment of Colleges of Agriculture and Related Disciplines In Nigeria.
He noted that professional bodies, individuals have record of his deeds while in the academic unknown to him, either as Provost of Federal College of Education, Akure, or as Rector, MAPOLY.
“This award from the National Association of Heads of Colleges of Agriculture and Related Disciplines (NAHCARD) was another testimony, and I prayed that God in his infinite mercy will continually uphold me to diligently carry out my humanity service to the society.’ he hinted.
Moreover, Dr. Odedina emergence as the Commissioner of Agriculture in Ogun State has witnessed many laudable projects that are rekindling the hope of the youths in Nigeria through agricultural practices.
Newsnigeria recalls that the commissioner, who was the former Provost, Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (FECA) was honoured by the Akure branch of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) with an honourary award of ‘Friend of the Bar’at the 2019 Law week held at the International Cultural and Event Center, Akure, Ondo State.
This honour he appreciated and cherished so much was due to his curiosity to boost agriculture in Nigeria without minding the profession, trained many lawyers on how to be self sufficient in agriculture and to increase food production during his tenure as the Provost. FECA.
Similarly, he was honoured with the award of excellence in administrative prowess by the Department of Agricultural Administration (AGAD), Federal University of Agriculture (FUNAAB), Abeokuta, Ogun State. The award was in recognition of his contribution to agricultural development in Nigeria.
