Governor Abiodun Congratulates President Tinubu over Tribunal Verdict
Ogun state Governor, Dapo Abiodun has congratulated President Bola Tinubu and Vice President, Kashim Shettima on their victory at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
He commended the Tribunal for dismissing the petition filed by the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, ruling that President Tinubu was duly elected on February 25th 2023, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Governor Abiodun said the tribunal’s verdict is an affirmation of the trust reposed in the President by Nigerians as evidenced in the outcome of the presidential election.
He described the judgment as sound, detailed and comprehensive, noting that the judges displayed unmatched courage in the discharge of their duties.
The Governor said, it is heartwarming that the Judges of the tribunal did not succumb to intimidation by the opposition that deployed various antics to sway the judgement in their favour.
For the Governor, the judgment is further proof of the fact that The judiciary is the last hope of the people.
