More Courts To Aid Speedy Dispensation Of Justice- Ogun Speaker
The infrastructural drive of the present administration would continue to bring more development, just as the ongoing construction of the Judiciary Complex will lead to the establishments of more courts, to aid effective and speedy dispensation of justice in Ogun State.
Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Suraju Adekunbi, made this assertion at the plenary, while responding to Hon. Ganiyu Oyedeji, representing Ifo 2 State Constituency, who spoke under personal explanation on the need for government to create additional Magistrate and Customary Courts in his constituency.
The Speaker said the current administration would continue to promote good governance by ensuring speedy dispensation of justice to all and sundry in the State.
Earlier in his presentation, Oyedeji explained that apart from generating more revenue from court cases into the State’s coffers, provision of more courts would enable people have easy access to hearing cases in their localities, rather than patronising those in neighbouring communities, which shared border with the State.
He said the call for the establishment of Customary and Magistrate courts in Ifo and its environ became necessary, as a result of increase in population, owing to improved infrastructure in the state, which had resulted in increase in commercial activities in the area.
In another development, the Speaker has called for a synergy between the State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure and Federal Roads Management Agency, (FERMA), on the Isara – Ago Iwoye link road, where work had stopped at Idoye village, as reported by Hon. Oluwadare Kadiri, a representative of Ijebu-North ll, while speaking under Personal explanation.
Adekunbi also extended the call to Dangote Cement Company situated at the constituency, to uphold an earlier agreement with the community, concerning repair of damaged part of Ago-Iwoye Roundabout, saying this would encourage cordial relationship with the host communities.
