FG Commences Rehabilitation of Sango – Ota Roads
The Federal Government has expressed its commitment to rehabilitate failed portions of Lagos – Sango-Abeokuta Federal highway.
Minister of Works and Housing Raji Fashola, gave the assurance during a teleconference between the State Governor and the Minister’s Team.
A statement by the chief press secretary to Ogun State Governor, Kunle Somorin in Abeokuta indicates that areas of immediate attention include failed portions around Sango-Otta on the Lagos – Abeokuta expressway and the Otta – Idiroko road which have become nightmare to motorists and commuters.
A team of engineers from the Federal Ministry of Works is expected to visit the area for assessment preparatory to commencement of the rehabilitation works on Thursday.
At the teleconference called at the instance of the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun were the Minister of Works and Housing Raji Fashola; managing director, Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Engr. Nurudeen Rafindadi; Director of Federal Highway (Construction and Rehabilitation), Engr Folorunso Esan; among others.
