Experts Certify Multi Network Pedestrian Bridge in Abeokuta

Experts have highlighted the economic values and importance derivable from the newly constructed multi-network pedestrian bridge, at Panseke area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite, while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta, described the project as a landmark achievement, of international standard, adding that it would boost commercial activities in the area.

On her part, the Commissioner for Housing, Arc. Segun Abiodun, said the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led administration, having embarked on urban regeneration across the State, has complemented the road networks with befitting pedestrian bridges, to enhance social living and provide safety for traders and other road users along the axis.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing and General Manager, Housing Corporation, Arc. Jumoke Akinwunmi and the Commissioner for Agriculture, Mrs. Adepeju Adebajo, both maintained that, government was poised at making life comfortable for the citizens, noting that, the bridge would provide relieve for the people and reduce accident at the ever busy Panseke area.

Senator Sunday Anbunozik from Taraba State, who joined the team for the inspection, applauded Governor Amosun for the infrastructural development, which has transformed the State.

Mrs. Mercy Ogonna, a trader at Panseke, appreciated the Government for the bridge, saying, she has never seen such developmental projects, since her 13 years in the State.
