Empowering farmers to boost food production my priority – Sen. Tolu Odebiyi

Senator Representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Tolu Odebiyi says his major assignment at the Upper Chamber is to save millions of lives from famine by way of strengthening food production and subsequently boost the nation’s economy.
In realization of this efforts, farmers across the Ogun West Senatorial District have benefitted from the empowerment programme which Senator Tolu Odebiyi facilitated to his constituents.
The farmers in large numbers went home with bags of fertilizers, seedlings including modern farming equipments.
The main objective of the empowerment according to Senator Odebiyi is to curb wastage occasioned by poor harvesting and processing to achieve food sufficiency.
The beneficiaries led by Mr. Akiode were overwhelmed by this gesture and expressed gratitude to the donor. Mr.akiode says “For many years, we have been longing to have unfettered access to fertilizers, pest control chemicals and other farming prodcuts to rescue us from low yield crops, with no help forthcoming from anywhere. But today our Senator has added value to our occupation by making available seedlings, fertilizers among other relief materials at no cost to farmers
