Apampa Gets Muslim Chieftaincy Title both in Owu and Egbaland

The Immediate Past Chairman of the Abeokuta branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr Dr. Ahmed Apampa, FNSE,  has been turbaned as Fimogboye of Owu Muslims in recognition of his intellectual development to the Owu Muslim Community.

Apampa was turbanned on Saturday 19th December, 2020 by the Chief Imam of Owu Kingdom, Alhaji Sulaimon Kehinde at Owu Central Mosque Apo, Abeokuta, on the authority of the Supreme Council of Owu Muslim Community under the leadership of the Sultan of Owu Muslims, Alhaji Chief M. Ola Yusuf, FCA

In another related development, a day earlier, Dr. Ahmed Apampa had also been turbaned as Soludero of Egba Muslims on Friday 18th December, 2020 by the Chief Imam of Egbaland Sheikh Sa ‘Adallah Bamgbola at the Central Mosque Kobiti Abeokuta in recognition of his meritorious contribution to the Egba Muslim Community.

In his special message, the Abeokuta Branch Chairman of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE),  Engr. Dr.  Kolawole A.  Olonade, FNSE congratulated Apampa. “I wish my Chair well in his new positions as Soludero of Ẹ̀gbá Muslims and Afimogboye of Owu Muslims. No doubt these titles are not by mere chance and decoration, they are true representations of whom our Immediate Past Chairman is. May Allah grant him wisdom, sound health and righteousness to discharge the expected roles of these important titles”, Olonade said.

In his own personal remarks, the newly turbaned Fimgboye of Owu Muslims appreciated Allah for this opportunity to serve the Muslim Community of Owu and Egba at large, much more.

The Abeokuta branch Past Chairmen of NSE, Engr. Alhaji Mutiu Odesanya, FNSE, Engr. Rev. A. Awolana and Engr. Alhaji Mohammed Abbass, FNSE also joined other engineers to rejoice with one of their own.

A  PhD holder in Civil Engineering, Engr. Dr Ahmed Apampa is a fellow of  the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), the Chairman of NSE Abeokuta branch between 2018 to 2020 and Director School of Engineering at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) Abeokuta between 2010 to 2020.
