Amosun Surpasses Electioneering Campaign Promises- Onanuga

 

Ogun State Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga has revealed that Senator Ibikule Amosun led government has fulfilled and surpassed its electioneering campaign promises, tagged ‘’Mission to Rebuild Ogun State’’, within the seven years of the administration.

Onanuga stated this while featuring on the Special edition of the Ogun State Television enlightenment programme, ‘’NEW DAWN’’ (Otun Ojo), to mark the seventh year anniversary of the present administration in the State.

She lauded Senator Ibikunle Amosun for bringing about an enduring transformation to the State, adding that the Governor has carved a niche for himself, not just as one of the best performing Governors in Nigeria, but has written his name in gold for posterity.

The Deputy Governor noted that the Governor made it clear at the inception of his administration, that he would focus on, ‘’Affordable Qualitative Education, Agricultural Production/Industrialisation, Affordable Housing, Efficient Health Care delivery, as well Urban-Renewal and Infrastructural Development.

‘’You can all agree with me that the Governor has equipped himself equitably well in all these areas. His impact in all these areas reverberates across all three Senatorial Districts, Local Government and Local Council Development areas (LCDAs) of the State.

Chief Onanuga stated further that the industrialisation policy, infrastructural development and security, put in place by the present administration, had attracted huge numbers of both local and foreign investors into the State, making the State an industrial hub of the nation.

On rural development, Chief Onanuga who also oversees the Ministry of Rural Development appreciated Governor Amosun for the love he has for the grassroots for the recently commissioned pilot scheme 85 kilowatt sola grid at Gbamu-Gbamu community in Ijebu East Local Government Area of the State. She added that over 171 rural roads advertised would be graded before the end of this administration in 2019.

The Deputy Governor while commending the State workforce for their support towards the actualisation of the administration’s goals and objectives, described them as the best in Nigeria, in terms of commitment, loyalty, discipline and dedication to work.
