Amosun Sensitises Wasinmi/Temu Communities On Airport Construction, Discloses Compensation Plans

Ahead of the commencement of construction work at the proposed Airport at Wasinmi, Ewekoro Local Government Area, the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has expressed the need for the people of the area to give necessary support for the project sited in the locality by the Federal government, reassuring them of adequate compensation.

Amosun who led an agricultural team to the area, said the Satellite imagery of buildings as well as crop enumeration, had been carried out to ease the compensation plans, adding that all was now set for the commencement of the project.

Speaking with leaders of the community, Governor Amosun while disclosing the compensation plans, said the disbursement of N500million to farmers whose farms would be affected by the construction, would commence soon in the 20 villages, urging the people to embrace the project as it would usher in  development that would be of great benefit to them and generations yet unborn.

He stated further that the affected farmers would also be relocated to a more appropriate place to continue their farm businesses, assuring that his government would not in any way bring hardship on the people, but rather make life more meaningful for them.

On his part, the Baale of Temuland in Ewekoro Local Government Area, Chief Abati Noah, appreciated the Governor for his relentless efforts at ensuring the development of the community, appealing to the government to help ameliorate the pains of those that would be affected by compensating them adequately, advising his people to support the State government in actualising the airport project.
