Amosun Reiterates Commitment Towards Judiciary Development

Ogun State government has reiterated its commitment towards empowering the judiciary for effective and efficient dispensation of justice.

Senator Ibikunle Amosun who stated this at the commissioning of the Multi Door Courthouse of the State High Court, Ijebu -Ode, described the judiciary as the last hope of common man, urging it not to compromise dispensing fair and equitable justice to the people.

Represented by his Deputy, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga, Amosun said his government was also committed to adjudicatory process of justice without unnecessary delay, commending the State Judiciary, led by Justice Olatokunbo Olopade for deeming it fit to construct the Courthouse in Ijebu-Ode in addition to the one in Abeokuta, describing these efforts as demonstration of innovation in the judiciary system

According to him, ‘’the development is in no small measure to improve the performance of judges in the area of conflict resolution, reconciliation and mediation”, pledging that his administration’s continuous support to put in place appropriate structures that would impact positively on the service delivery of the judiciary.

In her welcome address, the Chief Judge of Ogun State, Hon. Justice (Mrs.) Olatokunbo Olopade, said since the inception of the Multi Door Court in the State, it has been able to successfully resolve 100 cases within its short period of existence, saying it would continue to bridge the gap in relationships and prompt disputes settlement.
