Amosun To Present Staff Of Office To Olota On Thursday
The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun will on Thursday May 10, 2018 present staff of office to the Olota of Ota elect, His Royal Majesty (Oba) Prof. Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege.
The Chairman, Central Planning Committee of the Coronation, Senator Kamorudeen Odunsi, who disclosed this in an interview at the Olota’s Palace in Ota, said the change of date was to enable the Committee make adequate preparation for the event.
“We are pleased to inform the general public that the Coronation public lecture will hold on Wednesday May 9, 2018 with the theme: Aworiland Beyond Borders: Role of Traditional Institution, to be delivered by Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun of the Lagos State University, Ojo and Chief Kayode Odunsin.
The grand finale and presentation of staff of office to the Oba will hold on May 10, 2018, to be followed by Jumat Service on Friday.’’
Odunsi said Oro night scheduled to hold between Thursday May 10, and Sunday, May 13, 2018, would hold as planned, enjoining members of the community to adhere strictly to warning, to ensure a hitch free coronation programme.
Members of the public are urged to turnout in large number to receive the Governor, and celebrate with the new Olota.
