Amosun mourns Senator Durojaiye

The Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, CON, FCA, has commiserated with the Durojaiye family, on the passage of the patriarch of the family, Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, on Tuesday, 24 August, 2021 at the age of 88 years.
According to Senator Amosun, Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye was a respected elder statesman, whose selfless and committed service both in the public and private sectors of our nation would remain a study in sterling leadership.
“His twenty-eight years sojourn at the Central Bank of Nigeria and the National Mint, where he served as Director, coupled with the indelible marks he made as a Barrister and Solicitor of Supreme Court of Nigeria, will continue to be a point of reference to the present generation and those yet to come.
As the Senator for Ogun East Senatorial District (1999-2003), Senator Biyi Durojaiye provided quality representation to his constituents and contributed immensely to national debates. His accomplishments at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), where he served as the Chairman of the Board, are also worthy of note”.
Amosun enjoined the Durojaiye family not to mourn but to celebrate the life and times of the respected Elder. He prayed that the good Lord grant him eternal rest and give the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
