Amosun mourns passage of renowned talking drummer Adewole Onilu- Ola

Senator  Ibikunle Amosun representing Ogun Central Senatorial District,  has commiserated with the Adewole family and indeed the people of Egbaland on the passage of the legendary talking drummer, Alhaji Abdul Rahmon Alao Adewole, popularly known as Adewole Onilu-Ola, who died on Tuesday, 29th December, 2020 at the age of 97 years.
Senator Amosun in a condolence letter by his media officer Bola Adeyemi , described the  death  of Adewole as an exit of a great entertainer, a renowned talking drummer and a foremost cultural icon.
According to Senator Amosun he said even in old age  Baba Adewole featured and exhibited his drumming prowess to the admiration of people in all the editions of the annual Africa Drums Festival.
He described Baba Adewole Onilu-Ola as a great drummer whose sojourn had further established that drumming is not just a means of entertainment, but a veritable platform for effective communication.
The Senator prayed that Almighty Allah  will grant Baba Adewole Aljannah Firdaus and give his children, grand children and the entire family, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
