The Judicial arm of government in Ogun State have been commended for its hard work and active role in the dispensation of justice in the state. Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State gave the commendation on Monday at the Special Church and Mosque Services held simultaneously to usher in the 2017/2018 Legal Year of the Ogun State Judiciary at the Cathedral of St. Peter, Ake, and Kobiti Central Mosque, Abeokuta.
Governor Amosun noted that without the active support and contributions his government is receiving from the other two arms, his administration would not have been this successful. The Governor assured the legal professionals of his administration’s support towards the dispensation of justice in the state charging them to continue to deliver judgements without fear or favour.
Speaking on the assessment of justice dispensation in the State, Governor Amosun said the lawyers and judges have distinguished themselves to be up to the task. In his message, the Archbishop of RIYE Province Methodist Church, Nigeria, Most Reverend Adegbemi Adewale counseled the men of the bar and bench to go back to the basis and be more vigilant than before to help in removing the clog in the dispensation of justice in the state. Reverend Adewale charged them to always do right reminding them that there is someone called “the righteous judge” who sees the deeds of all men.
