Early Morning Accident in Abeokuta Metropolis

A tanker laden with diesel early Sunday morning lost control around Totoro road in Abeokuta metropolis due to break failure, spilling its content.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency TRACE said rescue operations by combined team of FRSC, FIRE SERVICE and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps cleared the road for smooth vehicular movement.

The statement added that traffic was promptly re-routed for commuters coming from Sapon and Totoro axis going to Lafenwa and those from Lafenwa going to Sapon and Totoro axis.

Meanwhile motorists and residents have commended the road safety managers for clearing the debris and restoring smooth vehicular movement along the affected axis.
