Former President Obasanjo Hosts Okowa, Tambuwal, Lamido, Others In Abeokuta

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo played host to the leadership of the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council in Abeokuta.

In a statement, the team led by the Vice Presidential Candidate and Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa also included the Director General of the Presidential Council and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido among others.

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, shortly after the two-hour closed door session said the team was in Abeokuta to consult former President Olusegun Obasanjo on matters of National interest and also to interact with other stakeholders so that the party and its candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the Vice Presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa can come out victorious in the 2023 General Elections.

He advised the electorate to come out en masse on Saturday February 25, 2022 and vote for a balanced ticket that reflects the characteristics of the country to provide leadership that will stabilize Nigeria, revive the economy and foster National unity.
