Two dead, One injured in Multiple Road Crash Along Lagos Ibadan Expressway
A fatal multiple road accident this morning claimed lives of Two persons along Mowe – Ibafo axis of the Lagos Ibadan Expressway.
In a statement by the Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Babatunde Akinbiyi, the accident involved a Kia Rio vehicle with registration number RBC 108 AE, a Volkswagen Golf car with registration number GWA 114 BC and a Mercedes Benz with registration Number BDG 757 GF
He explained that the cause of the accident was as a result of spilled granite content by an unidentified truck which resulted in multiple crashes.
Mr Akinbiyi further stated that the bodies of the dead victims have been deposited in a private mortuary, while the injured was rescued and taken to the hospital for treatment.
He advised motorists to exercise caution and desist from over speeding to avoid unnecessary loss of lives and property, adding that the vehicles involved have been towed away by officers from Sagamu Divisional Police Station, while normalcy has since return to the area.
