Ogun NOA Introduces Integrity Club In Schools

Ogun State Director of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Kolawole Obadina says the motive behind the establishment of Integrity Clubs in Secondary Schools across the country is to inculcate the national core-values of integrity, discipline, patriotism, self reliance, religious tolerance, dignity of labour and social justice as enshrined in the 1999 constitution as amended in the mind of students
The NOA boss in Ogun State stated this during the inauguration of the African Grammar School’s Integrity Club, Ita-Iyalode, Abeokuta, Ogun state.
On the annual February 14 Valentine’s day celebration, Mr Obadina advised the students to redirect the day to rededicate their love for their country and focus more on how best to serve their father’s land towards achieving greatness.
In his words, “Citizens of countries around the world take advantage of such celebration to rekindle their patriotic drive towards building their country which the agency has leveraged on over the years”
He disclosed that this year’s February 14 Valentine Day celebration with a theme “Fall In Love with Nigeria” will feature a maiden Edition of intergrity Club competition across the country tied to the “National Ethics and Integrity policy”
Mr Odedina who said the topic for discussion on the advocacy programme is “My Role In Making The Nigeria of My Dream” disclosed that each of the club is expected to produce a one minute video in form of a playlet, poem or prose to showcase the core-values of National ethics and integrity policy.
He explained further that selection will be done per state and each state winners of the competition will receive prizes and certificates of participation to be issued to the participating schools.
He encouraged all secondary schools in Ogun State to participate in the competition to showcase their talents.
