Water Corporation’s IGR Increased To N20 Million Under My Watch- Perm. Sec,

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Special Duties and the Acting General Manager, Ogun State Water Cooperation (OGSWC), Alhaja Engr. Monsurat Oluwatoyin Agboola, FNSE has revealed that the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the Corporation has increased to N20 Million, as against the N6 Million monthly, since her assumption of office as the General Manager.

The Permanent Secretary, who gave this hint during a special interview with Journalists in her office, as she bows out of service today, said her tenure had witnessed tremendous progress, with the commissioning of a new Business Area in Ijebu Ife, expressing the hope that whosoever takes charge of the Corporation would perform better than her.

Agboola added that more vehicles had been provided to ease mobility of officers and this has greatly contributed to their efficient service delivery across the State, advising members of staff to always believe in themselves, be honest and more dedicated in the course of their service to the State.

She noted that all through her 34 years in service she never followed the crowd and always made money a secondary issue, adding that things would easily workout for any worker with dignity and adherence to the rules and regulations guiding the Civil Service.

The outgoing Permanent Secretary called for sustainability of all her achievements which included; increased in the numbers of Bank Pay Point from four to nine, introduction of POS and Pre-Loaded card for water bill payment across the State.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Service Matters, Mrs. Modupe Bosede, acknowledged the efforts of the outgoing PS to the development of the State, particularly, in the area of provision of clean and portable water to the public.
