Dapo Abiodun meets Ogun Permanent Secretaries and Service Chiefs

On his first day in office,Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR met with all Permanent Secretaries in the State with a view to have a firsthand and detailed briefing on the current position of the state from different ministries and other government agencies.

Thereafter, he also had a Security Meeting with all Service Chiefs in Ogun State in order to jointly assess critical issues bordering on safety of lives and properties of people of Ogun State

Together with his Deputy, Engr. Mrs. Noimot Salako – Oyedele, the new Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun spent most part of his first day in office to settle down as they hit the ground running with strong resolve to give Ogun State, a focused and qualitative governance and to create the enabling environment for a public private sector partnership, which is fundamental to the creation of an enduring economic development and individual prosperity for the people.

Abiodun later addressed reporters after a closed-door meeting security chiefs. He said his administration would look holistically into the education industry for the primary to tertiary levels. Abiodun expressed worries over the low performance of students, despite the largest number of schools spread across the state.

“We are going to look at every programme of this government through prism of settling them. We have to focus on primary and tertiary education. We have to bring them up from scratch.“We have the largest number of schools in the state. However, the performances of our students are on the decline. We may be declaring emergency in the education sector,” he said.
