Students on Rampage over Killing of Colleague in a Road Mishap

The Secondary School Students in Ilaro area of Ogun State went on rampage to protest the killing of one of them by a reckless lorry driver along Owode road in Ilaro area of Ogun State.

The Students who burnt down the lorry loaded with Cement also vandalized a fire fighter Vehicle belonging to Ogun State fire service who came to curtail the fire from affecting other vehicles along the road.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi stated that the accident occurred as a result of overspeeding and brake failure when the vehicle coming from Ibese and heading toward Owode Idiroko ramming into the Students who were returning from their school

Akinbiyi notes that the body of the deceased have been deposited at the Ilaro General hospital morgue while normalcy has been restored on the road.
