COVID-19: Mike Adenuga Foundation Donates N1.5 Billion To FG, Lagos Govt
While Dr Adenuga donated N1 billion to the Federal Government, he made a donation of N500 million to the Lagos State government.
In two separate letters announcing the donation which he wrote to both the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Godwin Emefiele, and the Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Adenuga said in the letters dated March 27, 2020, that the donation was his modest contributions to the efforts which deserve the financial support of all stakeholders in the private sector.
Similarly, a representative of the Foundation presented the cheque of N1 billion to the Governor of Central Bank, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, in Abuja on Monday, which is coordinating the fund raising by corporate bodies to support the initiatives aimed at combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
A source to the Foundation said it was committed to the well-being of the entire Nigerian citizens, especially at this time when the country was battling the c oronavirus pandemic. It also commended the government, individuals and organizations for their efforts to contain the spread of the virus.
