Ogun Police Refute Alleged Kidnap of 20 People By Bandits

Ogun State Police Command has refuted a rumour that twenty persons were kidnapped by bandits on Kara bridge, along Lagos/Ibadan expressway.

In a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Police called on members of the public to regard the story, trending on social media as fake and lie from the pit of hell.
The statement adds that no single person, let alone twenty persons was kidnapped at the Kara Bridge or anywhere along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

In the meantime, the state commissioner of police, Lanre Bankole has ordered 24 hours surveillance patrol of the area in view of the road construction work going on in the axis to checkmate activities of the hoodlums who might want to take advantage of the gridlock to perpetrate evils
