FRSC Traffic Alert: Tanker Crash Along Lagos – Abeokuta Expressway.
The Federal Road Safety Corps Ogun State Sector Command wishes to inform the motoring public of the crash that occurred on Saturday 20th July, 2019 around Joju area of Ogun State along the Lagos – Ota – Abeokuta Expressway involving a Tanker laden with PMS , an SUV and a motorcycle . One person was killed and one other injured.
The injured Person has been taken to Hospital for medical treatment but the corpse of the dead person is still trapped under the Tanker, and retieval of the corpse is challenged due to the possibility of fire outbreak. Men of the fire service have been contacted , as standard practice, before transloading to avert fire outbreak.
Effort is currently on ground to remove the vehicle off the road, as soon as transloading is completed
Motorists are advised to be patient until the crashed vehicle is removed from the road. Meanwhile alternative corridor of the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway may be used .
The Ogun state Sector Command, Corps Commander Clement Oladele advices motorists to remained patient and to cooperate with the FRSC personnel and sister traffic and emergency agencies managing the traffic situation.
