Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun affirms Support for Vulnerable Children.

Wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, has reaffirmed her commitment to show love, support and give a sense of belonging to children who are the future and hope of the nation.

Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, stated this during her visits to the State Juvenile Correctional Home, Asero and Stella Obasanjo Children’s Home, Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta.

According to her, “everybody should be loved, especially, the vulnerable, when they are given the right kind of care, not just in terms of material things but in terms of love, encouragement and hope and become great in life, just as God has destined them to be.”

While advising the children not to see the sky as their limit, the Governor’s wife noted that they possess potentials that could be harnessed and fully utilized to live fulfilled lives, promising to give the support needed to the children and refurbish the facilities in the Homes for improved living standard and comfort of the children.

She enjoined care givers to assist the children with vocational trainings and treat them with love and understanding, calling on individuals and corporate organisations to see the welfare of these children as corporate and social responsibilities.

Earlier, in her welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluranti Oladeinde, represented by the Director, Social Welfare Services Mr. Olumide Sotubo, while appreciating Mrs. Abiodun for the visit and donation of food items and gifts to the children, intimated that the  juvenile in the Correctional Home, include lost but found children, street children, children in conflict with the law, as well as those beyond the control of parents, majority of whom have health challenges.
