Oba Ogunleye Made Vice Patron of Abeokuta Sports Club
The Abeokuta Sports Club (1904) has conferred on Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, Towulade Akinale, Owu Kingdom the Vice Patron of the prestigious club.
The Investiture of the honour is fixed for Friday December 2nd, 2022 at the Club Event Centre, Abeokuta.
In a letter to the Monarch jointly signed by the President of the club, Dr Olusola Egbesola and the General Secretary of the club,Mr Yinusa Jamiu Ajani, said the club has recognised the numerous positive strides and contributions made by the monarch within the club and the larger society. “It is in this spirit that the club under the leadership of Dr Olusola Egbesola has found you worthy of this honour” the letter conclude, adding “we believe this unique honour would spur you into doing more for humanity.
Oba Ogunleye was admitted a member of Abeokuta Sports Club during his days as a spokesperson for the defunct Nigeria Airways in the eighties.
