Trade Associations assured of Ogun Government’s support

 

Ogun State government has pledged its continuous support for traders and artisans operating in the State, in order to ensure smooth running of businesses that would produce quality goods and services.

The State Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Gbenga Adenmosun, made the pledge while presenting a Certificate of Registration to the Ogun State Chapter of the National Association of Block Moulders at AGSOBA Hall, Abeokuta Grammar School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.

Adenmosun admonished the artisans to maintain quality in their production, noting that government would ensure conformity to the accepted quality set by the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON).

He particularly called on block moulders, to  use quality materials and the right measures in producing blocks, to reduce incidence of building collapse, this he said would be their own way of contributing to the safety of lives and property in the country.

In his goodwill message, the National President of the Association, Alhaji Rasheed Adebowale, applauded the government for showing solidarity with the artisans, saying they would contribute their quotas to the socio-economic development of the State.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the Association, Chief Olusanya Olubiyi, appreciated government for its tremendous support, saying they would continue to work in harmony with the administration’s industrialisation drive.

He solicited for the quick enactment of a law that would enforce compliance to building standard among artisans.
