Obasanjo, Lasisi and others attend UNIFEMGA Maiden Agriculture Symposium/Exhibition
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo will on Saturday November 20 lead other eminent Nigerians to the maiden Agricultural Exhibition and Symposium by the Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA)
The theme for the Symposium/Exhibition, according to the Chairman, local organising committee, Alhaji Shamsideen Adenopo is “Agricultural Business and Economic Insecurity: The way forward for the Entrepreneurs.
Young Entrepreneurs, food manufacturers, farmer groups, in-put supplies, policy makers, Agricultural machine and implements fabricators, Merchants, financial institutions, product exhibitors and the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) among other Stakeholders are expected to attend the Symposium to share and discuss ideas on Agric-business sector.
The programme, scheduled to hold at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun will also host former Vice Chancellor, University of Uyo, Prof Fola Lasisi, the state Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Adela Odedina and Chief Alaba Lawson, the Iyalode of Egbaland
Experts slated for the occasion include Dr Abideen Olaiya, of the Dept. of Crop Production and Protection, (FUNAAB) as Chairman while the panel of discussants will be: Alhaji Murthada Adeniji, MD/CEO, Starlink Global & Ideal Ltd., Lagos; Prof. Abdul-Razaq Adebowale, Dept. of Food Science and Technology, FUNAAB; and Dr. Muiba Shittu Modupe, Dept. of Plant Breeding and Seed Technology, (FUNAAB).
Other stakeholders expected at the symposium include Dr Nabeel Adeyemi as Moderator, Alhaji Abdulfattah Olanlege, National President, UNIFEMGA, as Chief Host and other branches of UNIFEMGA nationwide.
