Senator Ibikunle Amosun commiserates with family of late Chief Harry Ayoade Akande

Former Governor of Ogun State and Senator representing Ogun Central, Ibikunle Amosun has condoled with the family of late Agbaoye of Ibadan Land, Chief Harry Akande who passed on at the age of 77.

In a statement, the Senator said he received the news with mixed feelings and considerable nostalgia.

Senator Amosun described Chief Harry Akande as a man of distinct upper aristocratic style even as the the first black man of African descent to bag an MBA from JL Kellogg’s School of Management, North Western University in 1969.

He was a political leader of note. A former Chairman, Board of Trustees of the All Peoples Party (APP) and participated actively in the APP/AD Alliance in 1999.

The statement added that, with Chief Harry Akande’s passage, Nigeria had lost one more Nationalist of no mean order.

He therefore prayed that Almighty God forgives his earthly sins and to comfort his widow, children and loved ones.
