OGHA Passes Resolution Urging Police to Curb Criminal Activities.
Towards ensuring a peaceful atmosphere across the state especially among Road Transport Unions,the Ogun State House of Assembly passed a resolution motion to checkmate their activities, the motion was moved by member representing Obafemi Owode State Constituency, Soneye Kayode seconded by his Remo North counterpart, Solomon Osho and supported by the Whole House.
The speaker Rt.Hon. Olakunle Oluomo equally call on the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to as a matter of urgency nip the impeding security challenge caused by the activities of some individuals in the state.
Members of the house also reflect on a range of issues including security challenges of their respective Constituencies, unanimously called on security agencies to invoke relevant sections of the State Land Grabbing and Anti Kidnapping Law, 2016 with a view to strengthening security of lives and property in all parts of the State
They also called for the implementation of more infrastructural projects, especially rural development projects including construction and rehabilitation of rural roads, schools, modern health centres and electrification projects amongst others.
Speaker Oluomo corroborate the present administration is committed to the completion of infrastructural projects embarked upon by the past administration with an assurance that more democratic dividends would be provided in all parts of the State.
Later in the day Rt.Hon. Oluomo represented by the deputy speaker Hon. Dare Kadir,and some members of the house met with leaders of the state road transport unions and associations on the need to caution them on several issues regarding taking over garages without due process stipulated in the constitution and remittance of their revenue to appropriate quarters for the development of the stat
