OGSG Begins Data Collection Exercise For Religious Organisations

In furtherance to government’s desire for a peaceful and orderly environment, as well as the need to curb the menace of environmental pollution, the Ogun State Government, through the State Executive Council Committee, has engaged in consultations with stakeholders, particularly religious leaders, on the issuance of data collection forms.

A release signed by the State Head of Service, Elder Abayomi Sobande, indicated that the development was consequent upon the need for reliable data on activities that tends to have negative effects on environmental and physical planning of the State.

In the release, religious organisations are to obtain forms at the nearest Zonal Office of the State’s Ministry of Urban and Physical Planning, at the rate of N2,500  from Tuesday 2nd January, 2018.

All places for faith-based gatherings, such as worship and religious study centres are expected to partake in the data collection exercise.
