Work hard to beat my achievements- Amosun

Governor Ibikunle Amosun has urged the younger ones to work hard, to enable them surpass his achievements, as Governor.

The Governor gave the urge at the January edition of the zodiac children party organized by Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Abeokuta, the State Capital in partnership with some media organisations and privately owned companies.

Amosun added that some of them would one day become a governor, noting that, he started like them, and was able to reap the fruits of hardwork.

The Governor who was represented by Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa said that he is a local boy and made good, through focus and determination, stressing that nobody is born not to be great in life.

He said ‘I am a local boy, who was focus, determined and committed and these are the factors that propelled me to be relevant, and there is no short cut to success. When you are determined and focused, sky will be your limit.’

Amosun further urged the children to be focus, determined and show commitment towards what they are doing to excel in life.

He added ‘If you are focus, you will surpass my achievements, and with determination you will go higher in life. Face your studies, and know that there is no cheap way to success. Listen to your parents, guardians and teachers. To be like Amosun, you must work hard.’

The General Manager of the station, Funmi Wakama earlier in her welcome speech encouraged parents and guardians to always create time of pleasure for their children, adding that the event remained one of the best to keep them social.

Wakama said that the station has tremendously improved in servicing the public, adding that the station now radiate 2.6KW as against 1.6, stating further that, the sound is now 270w as against 0w, which meant the station signal is now clean and clear.

She said ‘We are working on our signals and I am pleased to announce that we now radiate 2.6KW as against 1.6 and our sound is now 270w as against 0w. What this means is that you can now enjoy clean, clear signals from NTA Abeokuta.’

‘We are also working at better programming. We’re coming up with entertainment programs, current affairs programs. Our News belt is now One hour from 30mins, meaning we have more time to accommodate and report events in and around Ogun State.’

She added ‘We implore our clients and would be clients to leverage on these opportunities to promote and project their goods and services. We are Federal establishment; we are here to serve the government and people. We are everywhere in the country and parts of the world.’

Wakama also thanked the station’s partners, with a pledge that the station shall continue to work on the reach and do more to showcase their goods and services, and encouraged viewers on the need to continue to watch the station and give the management feedback at all time
