The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat called for the performance of the eclipse prayer, on Sunday evening, September 7, following the example of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, in establishing legitimate prayers at cosmic phenomena. This comes based on what the International Astronomy Center announced of an eclipse of the moon, starts at 8:27 pm, and it reaches its peak at 10:12, and ends at 11:57 pm. The reason for the eclipse prayer is a complete or partial eclipse of the moon, unless the part of it is little so that it does not appear to people, but the people of jurisdiction in astronomy realize it, then do not pray at that time, according to the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat.
